Zirconia is a strong, white (tooth-colored) ceramic known for its exceptional mechanical strength, hardness, wear resistance, and biocompatibility, making it popular in dentistry for esthetic crowns and bridges.
The mobile hopeless lower front teeth in this patient were extracted and replaced with a temporary fixed bridge on the same day to allow the wound to heal for 3 months. Finally, a zirconia bridge was fabricated using the strong canines on both sides as support, providing an esthetic and durable fixed solution for missing teeth.
The badly decayed upper right front tooth was treated with single sitting Root canal and covered with a zirconia crown to restore the beautiful smile.
The patient had lost all her teeth in the upper jaw and posterior teeth in the lower jaw. The upper arch was restored with a fixed ceramic bridge supported by 7 dental implants, while a removable flexible denture was provided for the lower posterior teeth—restoring function, comfort, and a confident smile.
This is one of our sweetest patients who was extremely conscious of her smile and unable to chew properly due to a partial removable denture. All her teeth were hopeless and required extraction. Three implants were placed in the lower jaw, followed by a removable complete denture for the upper jaw and an implant-supported overdenture in the lower jaw—an esthetic and economical solution.
